The Surf
There are a host of world-class surf breaks in close proximity to the South Telos Resort. The combination of both reef and sand bottom breaks provides a diverse range of waves that can accommodate different skill levels and cater to individual preferences.
Monkeys
A right hand reef break that runs for approximately 60 m. This user friendly wave is considered the most consistent wave in the Telos island chain and is suitable for beginners through to advanced. The open faces this fun right hander offers makes it a favourite with guests. Monkeys is directly in front of the retreat and easily accessed by a short boat ride or walk.

A fast barrelling right hander over shallow reef for advanced surfers only.
New Schools
A right hand reef break that offers steep walls and barrel sections. On the right conditions New Schools offers some epic waves for intermediate through to advanced surfers.
Outer Monkeys
A right hand reef break that picks up plenty of swell. This wave offers some solid walls and barrel sections. When it is on this is one of the best waves in the area. For intermediate to advanced surfers.
Beachies - Outside the bay.
These sand bottom beach breaks offer A frames of peeling left and right handers with steep barrel sections. Some of the best beach breaks going around. Due to the pitching nature of these beach breaks they are for intermediate to advanced surfers.
Bojos
A long left hand reef break with long walls. Bojos picks up plenty of swell and can handle a large swell. For intermediate through to advanced surfers.
Bombers
A right hand reef break that offers surfers a steep racing wall with various barrel sections. This is one of the heavier waves in the area and is suited to advanced surfers.
Bombers Left
A barrelling left hand reef break that really fires on the right conditions. For intermediate through to advanced surfers.
Beachies - Inside the Bay
These sand bottom beach breaks offer A frames of left and right handers. Super fun and less intimidating than the beach breaks outside the bay. Suitable for beginners through to advanced surfers.
